ecently, I embarked on a dramatic change of direction in my life journey. The time I devoted to my children, my students, my home, my responsibilities to all that I owned and took care of started to fade into my past.
There are many chapters to my story that add up to a humble and most interesting life. Foremost, I am grateful for being able to raise two beautiful souls (now young men) in a modest 3 bedroom ranch in a lovely town. Personally, I have loved deeply as well as experienced great heartaches.
For many years I was fortunate enough to fulfill my desire to teach art and inspire passion for life. The time has come for me to replenish my own spirit. I have reduced my belongings to one suitcase and a backpack (ok, the good china, my bike and some photos are in storage).
This adventure is a quest to better understand human nature and the common threads we all share. The more I learn about others the more I learn about myself.
I am currently gathering experiences and perspectives since there in no room left in my suitcase:
“There are no mistakes in life. Just experiences. Moments to enjoy, lessons to learn. That's life."
I’ve been told I’m brave, ballsy, hootspa...in reality I just made a few promises to my Dad, including to make myself happy, “because before you know it kid, life will be over.” So all the fears, all the doubt, the insecurities, they are still there, but I won’t let any of it stop me from being honest with myself, trusting the universe, experiencing the dream. Sharing the [experience] and hoping to inspire others. X Marks the Spot of an epic adventure or personal enlightenment. Let’s share the moments that make a difference.
